On April 11, 2024, General Motors' 32nd Annual Supplier Conference was held in Miami, USA. With outsatnding product performance and long-term parternership contributions, WBTL won GM's annual Supplier of the Year award once again. Since 2020, WBTL has won the award for four consecutive years, which fully reflects GM's high recognition to WBTL.

The GM Supplier of the Year award is designed to recognize the best among GM's many suppliers, and is strictly selected by GM's global cross-functional team based on research and development innovation ability, stable supply quality and performance scores. It is the highest level of recognition for GM's suppliers, accounting for only about 0.5% of the total supplier group.

As one of GM's core suppliers,WBTL has founded production bases of lightweight product in Wuhu China, Weihai China, Saltillo Mexico and other places, set up a research and development center in Detroit, quickly build a global collaborative communication platform with customers, and fully meet customer needs and ensure that product design, production and delivery are in line with the highest international standards. GSC rating - Production, Quality - CCA, GSC rating - CCA full score, WBTL has  won the GM Global highest award for many times.

In the field of lightweight prodcuts, WBTL has the whole process ability of casting aluminum products design, CAE structural analysis, casting simulation, testing vertification, production casting, and masters the world's  advanced differential pressure casting process. Through continuous R&D investment, expansion of the product types, WBTL currently has cast aluminum knuckle, aluminum control arm, aluminum subframe, aluminum wheel housing, aluminum calipers and other products to meet the diversified needs of the market.

To support the North America and global customers, and promote company's international developement strategies, WBTL started the establishment of the first overseas manufacting base in 2019. The project is located in Saltillo, Mexico. The first phase of the project has an annual capacity of 4 million cast aluminum knuckle, control arm and other lightweight cast aluminum products.  In September, 2023, the first phase of the Saltillo production base project was successfully completed, and the first lightweight project was officially mass-produced. The second phase of the project is under construction, with an estimated total investment of 165 million dollars, and a planned annual capacity of 5.5 million steering knuckle, 1.7 million control arms, 1 million mechanical calipers, and 1 million EPB calipers, and is scheduled to be put into use in 2024.

The WBTL global team has worked with GM for many years, helping GM Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet launch many of the world's best-selling models, and we are proud to once again win the GM's Supplier of the Year award.
