We're pleased to share that on May 22, 2026, WBTL received General Motors’ Supplier Quality Excellence Award, recognizing the strong quality performance of our lightweight products.
Since first receiving this award in 2017, WBTL has been named a GM Supplier of the Year four times and has now earned the Supplier Quality Excellence Award five times. For us, this recognition reflects not only consistent performance, but also the trust and long-term partnership we have built with GM over the years.
The Supplier Quality Excellence Award is one of GM’s important recognitions for supplier quality performance. Each year, only about 5% to 10% of its approximately 18,000 global suppliers receive this award.
In 2025, WBTL supplied around 4.935 million lightweight components to GM worldwide, including aluminum knuckles and aluminum control arms, supporting brands such as Cadillac, Buick, and Chevrolet.
We continued to deliver strong results across key customer performance metrics, including:-
- BIQS ratings consistently above 4.0
- Delivery, product quality, and after-sales scores above 90
- All major indicators remaining in healthy green status
We also continued to enhance product performance and safety through ongoing improvements in materials and process control, including tighter control of molten aluminum quality and composition, optimized heat-treatment quenching time, and upgraded alloy materials.
Over the years, WBTL has built integrated capabilities across the full development and manufacturing process for lightweight products, covering product design, CAE analysis, casting simulation, testing, validation, and mass production. We also apply advanced differential pressure casting technology in production.
Since launch, our cast aluminum steering knuckles and control arms have reached a cumulative supply volume of approximately 83.81 million units for global automakers.
Today, WBTL operates three major lightweight manufacturing bases in Wuhu, Anhui; Weihai, Shandong; and Saltillo, Mexico, enabling coordinated global delivery.
Our Mexico base has further strengthened support for North American customers through localized production. Phase I has already reached a stable annual capacity of 3 million units, and Phase II is progressing as planned.
We sincerely thank GM for its continued trust and support.
WBTL will continue to strengthen quality management, technology development, and process improvement, while delivering high-quality products and responsive service. We look forward to further advancing our partnership with GM and creating greater value together.
