On May 8, WBTL’s 10,000th EMB unit officially rolled off the production line, marking a key milestone in our journey toward mass production and large-scale delivery.

After six years of dedicated R&D, WBTL has successfully brought Electro-Mechanical Braking (EMB) into production — an important step forward in the evolution of brake-by-wire technology.
This achievement was made possible by the close collaboration of more than 100 engineers across multiple disciplines, including mechanical design, hardware, embedded software, system development, functional safety, and cybersecurity, working closely with our customer’s R&D team.
To ensure product reliability and performance, WBTL established a comprehensive validation system covering unit, integration, system, HIL, and vehicle-level testing, supported by:
● 15,000+ test cases
● 2,000+ validation prototypes
● 3 rounds of summer and winter vehicle calibration
● 4+ million kilometers of cumulative road testing
In functional safety, WBTL EMB passed the TÜV NORD audit and received ASIL-D certification — the highest level of automotive functional safety — making it the first EMB product in the world to achieve this certification.
To support large-scale delivery, WBTL has also established a dedicated automated EMB production line with a planned annual capacity of 1.2 million units, featuring robotic core processes, 100% online automated inspection, and full-process digital traceability.
