Great engineering takes more than a good idea. It takes years of development, testing and close collaboration to make a new technology ready for the road.
At LiAuto's 2026 Global Partner Conference, WBTL received the Technical Innovation Award for our joint development work and technical problem-solving in Electro-Mechanical Braking (EMB).Unlike conventional hydraulic braking systems, EMB uses electromechanical actuation and electronic control. It also enables independent control at each wheel, opening up new possibilities for braking performance and vehicle dynamics.
Getting there takes serious engineering work. Our EMB development involved 63 months of work, more than 2,000 validation prototypes and over 15,000 test cases, covering everything from individual components to system-level and vehicle testing.
We've also built dedicated EMB production capacity, with automated processes and 100% online inspection of key performance, noise and appearance requirements.
A big thank-you to our partners at Li Auto and to the engineering and manufacturing teams who have worked on this together. It’s great to see years of collaboration turn into real-world progress.
