A major milestone for WBTL: 40 million Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) calipers have now entered mass production.

WBTL is the first Chinese automotive supplier to reach this production scale for EPB calipers. Behind the number is more than a decade of technology development, product evolution and large-scale manufacturing experience.

Since our first EPB program entered mass production in 2012, our EPB portfolio has continued to evolve to meet different vehicle platforms and braking requirements.

• 100+ programs reached mass production in 2020.
• 300+ programs in 2024.
• Today, that number has grown to 500+.

Our manufacturing capabilities have grown with them. WBTL’s global facilities now have an annual capacity of nearly 14 million EPB calipers, supported by highly automated production lines and 100% automated inspection of key performance parameters.

Our EPB business is also expanding beyond China, with programs supporting customers including Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, Volvo and Stellantis, alongside major Chinese automakers.

With R&D centers in Detroit and Frankfurt, and an expanding overseas manufacturing footprint, WBTL is continuing to build closer connections with customers around the world.

40 million units is a milestone. More importantly, it’s a reflection of what we’ve built over the past decade — and what comes next.
